In Paris sind derart viele Straßen nach Mathematikern benannt, dass eine Aufteilung nach Stadtbezirken (Arrondissements), deren laufende Nummer oft auch auf den Straßenschildern vermerkt ist, zweckmäßig erscheint. In der nachstehenden Liste sind die Stadtbezirke (mit Verweisen) benannt, zu denen weitere Seiten aufbereitet sind.

Die Fotos wurden im Oktober 2008 von Jürgen Hahn aus Berlin und im März 2009 aufgenommen.

There are a lot of streets in Paris named after mathematicians. It looks suitable to provide several pages for the different urban districts (arrondissements), whose numbers often are also shown on the street-signs. The following list provides links to those pages showing pictures of street-signs in other urban districts of Paris.

Die Straße ist nach dem Mathematiker und Philosophen Jean Le Rond d'Alembert (1717 - 1783) benannt [1, S. 374]. Auf dem Straßenschild ist noch angemerkt, dass er an der Enzyklopädie mitgearbeitet hat.
The street is named after the mathematician and philosopher Jean Le Rond d'Alembert (1717 - 1783) [1, p. 374]. It is mentioned on the street-sign that he also collaborated on the Encyclopedia.

Die Straße ist nach dem Mathematiker Paul Appell (1855 - 1930) benannt.
The street is named after the mathematician Paul Appell (1855 - 1930).

Die Straße ist nach dem Mathematiker und Astronomen Dominique François Jean Arago (1786 - 1853) benannt [1, S. 375]. Auf dem Place de l'Ile de Sein, der vom Boulevard Arago durchquert wird ehrt ein Denkmal diesen Wissenschaftler, von diesem ist allerdings zur Zeit nur der Sockel zu sehen.
The street is named after the mathematician and astronomer Dominique François Jean Arago (1786 - 1853) [1, p. 375]. On the Place de l'Ile de Sein beside the Boulevard Arago there is a monument honouring this scientist. But actually only the base of it can be seen.

Die Straße ist nach dem Mathematiker, Astronomen und Gründer der Sternwarte Giovanni Domenico Cassini (1625 - 1712) benannt [1, S. 380]. Vor dem Gebäude der Sternwarte ist ein Denkmal (Standbild) errichtet.
The street is named after the mathematician, astronomer, and the founder of the observatory Giovanni Domenico Cassini (1625 - 1712) [1, p. 380]. In front of the observatory a statue commemorating to him was erected.

Das Straßenschild lässt offen, ob die Straße nach dem Mathematiker und Astronomen Christiaan Huygens (1623 - 1662) benannt ist, nach dessen Vater, dem Poeten Constantijn Huygens (vergleiche auch die Gedenkmünze) oder gegebenenfalls beiden. In [1, S. 400] wird ausschließlich auf Christiaan Huygens Bezug genommen.
The street-sign leaves it open if the street is named after the mathematician and astronomer Christiaan Huygens (1623 - 1662) or after his father the poet Constantin Huygens (cf. also the coin) or both. In [1, p. 400] the first only Christiaan Huygens is considered.

Die Straße ist nach dem Mathematiker und Astronomen Pierre François-André Méchain (1744 - 1804) benannt [1, S. 315]. Er ist auf dem Straßenschild auch als Mitglied der Akademie der Wissenschaften ausgewiesen.
