Zwei der Uferstraßen Pisas sind nach Mathematikern genannt, sie stoßen sogar aufeinander. Es sind dies Lung'Arno Fibonacci und Lung'Arno Galileo Galilei. Hierbei hat das Wort "lungo" die Bedeutung "längs", also "Lung'Arno" die Bedeutung "längs des Arno". Da die nach Fibonacci (Leonardo von Pisa) benannte Straße jedoch keine Gebäude besitzt, denen eine Adresse zugeordnet werden müsste, gibt auch kein Straßenschild, das den Namen ausweist. Das ist der Grund, dass weiter oben nur das Straßenschild abgebildet ist, das den Namen von G. Galilei benennt.

Two streets running along the river Arno are named after mathematicians. They also possess a common junction. These are Lung'Arno Fibonacci and Lung'Arno Galileo Galilei. The word "Lung'Arno" means "along the river Arno". Due to the fact that there are no houses situated in the street named after Fibonacci (Leonardo Pisano) no street-sign is installed. This is the only reason why above only the street-sign is presented which shows G. Galilei's name.
