Das Theodorianum ist ein Gymnasium in Paderborn.
Neben einem der Eingänge (auf dem nächsten
Bild ist er mit der Tafel auf der linken Seite zu erkennen) ist eine Gedenktafel in die
Wand eingelassen, die unter einer in lateinischer Sprache verfassten Inschrift die Namen,
den Beruf und die Lebensdaten berühmter Schüler nennt. Unter anderem wird auf
dieser Tafel auch
Karl
Weierstraß erwähnt, der in den Jahren 1827 - 1834 diese Lehranstalt
besuchte.
Die Tafel zeigt den folgenden Text (soweit erforderlich ins Deutsche übersetzt):

Die Fotos wurden im August 2008 von André Ziesing aus Berlin aufgenommen. Die Übersetzung des lateinischen Texts ins Deutsche wurde von Anica Jahning aus Berlin vorgenommen, Dr. David Griffin aus Wokingham unterstützte die Übersetzung in die englische Sprache.
The Theodorianum is a secondary school in the
city of Paderborn. Next to one of its entrances a commemorative plaque can be seen. It may
be recognized on the left of the immediately preceding photograph, together with the plaque
itself. Under a Latin text it shows the names, the professions, and the dates of famed
students. Amongst others
Karl
Weierstraß is mentioned, who visited this institution from 1827 to 1834.
The plaque shows the text which is now provided in English:
