dass hier der Mathematiker und Kristallograph
Heinrich Heesch aufwuchs.

Heesch geb. 25.6.1906 in Kiel gest. 26.7.1995 in
Hannover beigesetzt in Kiel wuchs in diesem Haus
auf und behielt die elterliche Wohnung bis 1984
bei.
Heesch wirkte in Zürich, Göttingen und Hannover. Er führte
die Schwarz-Weiß-Raumgruppen ein und leistete fundamentale Beiträge
zur Parkettierungstheorie und zum Vierfarbenproblem.

Heesch acted in Zürich, Göttingen und Hanover. He introduced the
black-white-groups and achieved fundamental contributions to the theory of tilings
and the four-colour theorem.
