An der Straßenfront des Gebäudekomplexes Residenz am Dom (Adresse: An
den Dominikanern 6 - 8) sind übereinander zwei Gedenktafeln angebracht, auf denen auch
Albertus
Magnus erwähnt wird. Die obere Tafel bezieht sich in erster Linie auf das
Dominikanerkloster und zeigt unter dem Relief eines Gebäudes den Text:
| Hier stand im Mittelalter das Dominikanerkloster In ihm wirkte Albertus Magnus auch 'Der Deutsche' und der 'Doctor uni- versalis' genannt. |
Die untere Tafel (siehe das Bild weiter unten) hebt die Bedeutung der oberen hervor informiert über deren Geschichte:
| Diese Tafel ist dem Andenken an das erste Deutsche Dominikanerkloster und an den Gründer der ersten Deutschen Universität, Albertus Magnus, gewidmet. Sie wurde am 30. März 1937 am Westturm der 1893 auf den Grundmauern des Dominikanerklosters errichteten Reichspostdirektion angebracht. Die Zerstörungen des 2. Weltkrieges hat sie leicht beschädigt überstanden. |
Im Innenhof der Anlage Residenz am Dom befindet sich eine Statue, die Albertus Magnus darstellt. Auf der anderen Seite der Einfahrt sind Informationstafeln installiert, die sich ebenfalls auf das Umfeld von Albertus Magnus und des Dominikanerklosters beziehen.
Selbstverständlich gibt es in Kölns Innenstadt auch eine nach Albertus Magnus benannte Straße. Ein Straßenschild (siehe ganz unten auf dieser Seite) zeigt noch zusätzliche Informationen:

At the building Residenz am Dom (address: An den Dominkaner 6 - 8) two
commemorative plaques are fixed which both mention
Albertus
Magnus. The upper one is primarily concerned with the monastery of the Dominican
order and shows under a relief of a building some text which reads like:
| In the Middle Ages the monastery of the Dominican order was located here It was the workplace of Albertus Magnus also called 'The German' and 'Doctor universalis'. |
The lower plaque emphasizes the relevance of the upper one and informs on its history:
| This plaque is devoted to the commemoration for the first German monastery of the Dominican order and to the founder of the first German university, Albertus Magnus. On March 30th, 1937 it was fixed at the western tower of the Reichspostdirektion, which was built in 1893 on the basement of the monastery. It was only damaged slightly during the second World War. |
There is a Statue the inner court of the Residenz am Dom which shows Albertus Magnus. At the other side of the entrance some information tablets are installed on the pedestriant's pavement. They are also related to Albertus Magnus and the monastery.
Certainly there is also a street in Cologne named after Albertus Magnus. A street-sign (see below) shows additional information:
