10 SFr Banknote

deutsch Die 10-Franken-Banknote der sechsten Banknotenserie 1976 (vgl. die Aufstellung aller Banknotenserien der SNB) zeigt auf der Vorderseite das Porträt des in der Schweiz gebürtigen Mathematikers Leonhard Euler. Auf der Rückseite dieses Geldscheins sind Wasserturbine, das Sonnensystem mit den zu Lebzeiten Eulers bekannten Planeten Merkur, Venus, Erde, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, deren Monden und einem Kometen sowie dem Strahlengang in einem Linsensystem dargestellt.

english On its face the 10 franc banknote of the sixth series from 1976 (cf. the list of the banknote series of the SNB) shows a portrait of the mathematician Leonhard Euler, who was born in Switzerland. The back of the note contains graphic representations of a water-turbine, the solar system as well as rays passing lenses. The drawing of the solar system shows only the planets Mercury, Venus, earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, their satellites and a comet. Only the mentioned planets have been known during the period of Euler's life.
