Monument for Nicolaus Copernicus in Salzburg (Austria)

Im Park Zwerglgarten nahe dem Spielplatz und vom Mirabellgarten nur durch eine Wand getrennt befindet sich ein Denkmal, das Nikolaus Kopernikus darstellt. Es gibt allerdings keinen vordergründigen Zusammenhang zwischen der Person und der Stadt Salzburg, so dass es sich bei dem Denkmal um ein gestalterisches Element handelt. Ein anderes Denkmal in diesem Park stellt den Arzt Paracelsus dar.

Vor dem Denkmal befindet sich ein Steinblock auf dessen Vorderseite folgender Text zu lesen ist:

In the park named Zwerglgarten close to a playground and separated from the Mirabell Garden only by a wall there is a sculpture presenting Nicolaus Copernicus. There is no obvious relation between the person and the city of Salzburg, which means that this monument is only for decoration reasons.
