im 13. Bezirk von Budapest befindet sich ein Denkmal zu Ehren des Mathematikers
János
Bolyai. In etwa 1,3m Höhe stehen der Name "Bolyai
János" und die Jahreszahlen 1802 - 1860.
Der Text auf der Plakette am Fuß des Denkmals (siehe unten) ist in ungarischer Sprache gehalten und kann wie folgt ins Deutsche übersetzt werden:

hauptstädtischen János-Bolyai-Werk- und Fachoberschule mit Schülerheim und mit Unterstützung des Unterrichtsausschusses der hauptstädtischen Generalversammlung anlässlich des 200. Jahrestages der Geburt des weltberühmten Mathematikers. Die Statue ist das Werk des Bildhauers József Miholcsa. 15. Dezember 2002 |
Die Fotos wurden im März 2007 aufgenommen. Die Übersetzung des ungarischen Textes auf der Plakette in die deutsche Sprache wurde von Mária Madarász aus Neusatz (Novi Sad) geleistet.
The schoolyard of the
Bolyai János Fővarosi Gyarkorlö

(János Bolyai Technical College) with address Váci út 21 in the
13th urban district of Budapest contains a monument of the mathematician
János
Bolyai.
About 1,3m above the ground the name "Bolyai János" as well as the period
1802 - 1860 is engraved.
The text on the base of the monument is given in Hungarian and reads like:
| Erected by the metropolitan János Bolyai technical
college and with support of the supervising school authority of the metropolitan General Assembly in occasion of the 200th birthday of the universally known mathematician. The statue is the work of the sculptor József Miholcsa. Dezember 15th, 2002 |
The photographs were taken in March 2007. The Hungarian text of the plaque was translated by Mária Madarász from Novi Sad.
