Auf dem Vorplatz des Nordgeländes der Technischen Universität München in der Theresienstraße steht das Denkmal zu Ehren von Georg Simon Ohm. Sicherlich ist seine größte Errungenschaft aus dem Gebiet der Physik. In die Frontseite des Sockels ist der griechische Buchstabe Ω (das Zeichen für die Einheit des elektrischen Widerstands "Ohm") sowie der Name und die Jahreszahlen der Geburt, 1789, und des Tods, 1854, von Georg Simon Ohm eingraviert.

Das Foto wurde im Oktober 2005 aufgenommen. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt befand sich das Denkmal inmitten einer Baustelle.

On the forecourt of northern part of the Munich University of Technology in the Theresienstraße a monument honours Georg Simon Ohm. Certainly his greatest achievement is from physics. Engraved in the front face of the monument's base there are greek letter Ω, the name, and the year of birth, 1789, the year of death, 1854, of G. S. Ohm. (The letter Ω denotes the symbol of the unit "Ohm" for the electrical resistance.)
