Denkmal zu Ernst Abbe / Monument for Ernst Abbe

deutsch Vor dem 1921 erbauten Ernst-Abbe-Gymnasium (Wartburgallee / Ecke Grimmelgasse) in Eisenach ist im Jahr 2004 ein Gedenkstein errichtet worden, der an die Leistungen von Ernst Abbe erinnert. Auf der angebrachten Bronzetafel befindet sich ein Porträt, der Name mit den Lebensdaten 1840 - 1905 sowie die nachstehenden Formeln für das Mikroskop (vgl. Nachricht von EisenachOnline):

english In front of the secondary school named Ernst-Abbe-Gymnasium (built in 1921 and located near the junction of the streets Wartburgallee and Grimmelgasse) a memorial stone was erected in 2004 which commemorates to the achievements of Ernst Abbe. The bronze plaque on its front side contains a portrait od the scientist and the dates of his life 1840 - 1905 as well as the set of formulas for the microscope given above within the German text. Moreover there is a small tablet containing the following information:
