- 20. Jahrhundert) zu finden (siehe auch [1, S. 570]).
Das Foto wurde im Juli 2008 aufgenommen.
Entering the main entrance of the municipal cemetery of Berlin-Wilmersdorf and then turning
sharply to the right leads the steps to the columarium. The third niche also contains the
grave of
Wolfgang Siegfried Haack and his
wife. The inscription of this marbled urn-shaped grave shows simply the names and the dates
of life (see above in the German text, because no translation needs to be done). W. Haack
teached at the
Technical University of Berlin and held the
position of the head of the department for data-processing and mathematics at the
Hahn Meitner institute in Berlin-Wannsee.
A photographical portrait of W. Haack can be found in the virtual gallery Mathematicians in Berlin (17. - 20. century) (see also [1, p. 570]).
The photograph was taken in July 2008.
