Im ersten Obergeschoss des Verwaltungsgebäudes der Technischen Universität
Braunschweig (Pockelstraße 14) ist eine Sitzecke mit zwei Gemälden
ausgeschmückt. Auf diesen sind die Mathematiker
Richard
Dedekind und
Carl
Friedrich Gauß dargestellt. Das erstgenannte Gemälde ist mit
Königsdorf 1927 signiert, während das zweite den Text
Copie nach / Rudolph Wimmer / Von Fritz Mühlbrecht / Mnchn.
versehen ist.
Neben den Gemälden sind jeweils noch kleine Tafeln mit erläuternden Texten angebracht; auf ihnen ist zu lesen:

In the first upper floor of the administration building of the Technical University of
Brunswick (address: Pockelstraß 14) there is a waiting-area equipped with two paintings.
They show the two mathematicians
Richard
Dedekind and
Carl
Friedrich Gauß. The first mentioned painting is signed with Königsdorf
1927 while the second one possesses a text reading like Copy according to /
Rudolph Wimmer / by Fritz Mühlbrecht / Munich.
Beside the two paintings there are small tablets containing explaining texts:
