Nahe dem Zentrum des Städtchens Nemours ist das Geburtshaus des Mathematikers Etienne Bézout mit der oben wiedergegebenen Tafel ausgewiesen. Dieses Gebäude befindet sich in der nach ihm benannten Straße - ein Straßenschild ist am Ende dieser Seite zu sehen - und besitzt die Hausnummer 26. Der Text der Tafel ist nur schwer zu lesen und lässt sich wie folgt aus dem Französischen übersetzen:

In Nemours gibt es auch ein Denkmal für E. Bézout (Adresse: 41, quai Victor Hugo, Nemours). Dieses ist allerdings nicht zugänglich, da es sich auf einem Privatgrundstück befindet, aber von der Straße einsehbar.

Near the centre of the city of Nemours one may find the birthplace of the mathematician Etienne Bézout. It is marked with a plaque but which is hard to read. Its address is 26, rue Bézout. The French text may be translated as follows:
