Im Herbst 1998 verbrachten meine Frau Inge (1954 - 2003) und ich unseren Urlaub in Pythagoreio an der Südküste der Insel Samos. Diese Stadt ist nach dem bekannten Mathematiker Pythagoras benannt, ein ihm gewidmetes Denkmal ist dort am Hafen zu finden. (Detailinformation zum Denkmal)

(erschienen im Ernst Klett Schulbuchverlag Leipzig, 1998) hingewiesen werden, das reich illustriert die Person und den Lehrsatz des Pythagoras zum Inhalt hat und geschichtliche wie auch inhaltliche Zusammenhänge bis in die heutige Zeit aufzeigt (vgl. auch eine Rezension).
